Feruary 2008

Take time to laugh!

Here's a close up of my countertops and cabinetry.

Okay, the countertops are beautiful.  Can't wait until the tile is in
and I can get the appliances installed.  The fridge is in the basement
and at least I burn calories getting food and drink.

What kind of tile should I make the backsplash???

Pictures above were taken yesterday and the kitchen sink countertop had a mistake. I thought for sure it was going to be another 3 week delay, so imagine my surprise when Sarto Granite called today to say they had the piece ready for install and could they come right away.  Woohoo!!!

The faucets aren't really connected.  I just put them there for effect.

The kitchen pictures below are with all the countertops in place.

A dishwasher will fill that hole in a few weeks.  Maybe by mid-March?

Ok, so next weekend....Floor tile is going to be installed.  Then the rest of the cabinet trim and finally APPLIANCES!!!!!

Here's my help around here.  See why it's hard to get stuff done???
Now you know why their names are Rhyme and Reason.

The upstairs guest bathroom has been tiled.  One more coat of paint,
the window stained, the toilet and the tub's glass doors installed and
I'll call this finished.
This is the small guest bedroom.  There is still baseboard,
window trim and the closet doors that need to be installed.

Aren't those cute little beds?!?
Just right for grandchildren!
Not that I have any of those yet.

Master Bedroom Hall and Bathroom Door.

Master Bathroom has been completed.

I love this bathroom!

Except for the bigger windows being trimed out, all the windows being stained and hanging up some artwork, my master bedroom is as good as done.  Ok, maybe a nicer carpet would look better, but that bed is heavy for me to pick up!

My room is painted in a color called "Sand Trap".

One of the little windows is trimmed out.  Now it awaits staining.
